Community Care Video Calls
For Women and Non-binary People with Chronic Illness
As part of my community care practice, I am holding space for free (no selling!) bi-weekly Zoom calls for women and non-binary people with chronic illness and pain. While there are many lovely social networking groups for those of us who live with chronic illnesses, posting and commenting is not the same as connecting with other people in person. Since many of us are bound to our homes and missing the support of face-to-face community, I desire to provide a regular space for us to witness and hold one another in our experience and build deeper community that could meet some of our unique needs in a world that often excludes us.
I have lived with Fibromyalgia for the past 5 years, as well as PCOS my entire adulthood. I know how isolating it can be to live with chronic illness and pain. I also have many Facebook friends who live with a variety of chronic illnesses and I am hearing that many of them feel isolated as well. I am hoping these bi-weekly calls offer an opportunity to build community with one another.
Calls take place every other Wednesday at 11 a.m. PST on Zoom beginning 11/29
